You don’t have to be a Welsh speaker to wear Rhinwedd clothing, but if you’ve ever thought about learning, there’s no time like the present.
There are so many options available to help you on your journey to becoming a Welsh speaker, whether you want to pick up the basics, speak conversationally or become fluent. Hopefully we can help you find something that works for you below.

I have been learning to speak Welsh by attending these classes. I find these work best for me as having access to a fluent Welsh speaker to teach me about pronunciation, mutations and ask about the general language rules has helped my development significantly. I am currently completing the Entry Level course, these classes have cost me roughly £3 a lesson, and they are 2.5 hours long.

“Say Something in Welsh” is a very popular method of learning Welsh and can be done anywhere in the world, at any time. This makes it a lot easier for a lot of people, especially those who may not be able to leave the house for a long period of time or are not local to Wales. The course provides downloadable mp3 files and there is access to a forum to discuss any questions or just to have a chat with other Welsh learners.

You know what it is...and if you don’t, then prepare yourself for everyone’s favourite little green owl.
I find Duolingo very helpful to use alongside my lessons to learn words and phrases. I did try to use this as my only method of learning Welsh, but personally found it a bit hard to stick to. Everyone learns differently so this may work out to be the only thing you need, and as long as you don’t mind some pesky adverts every now and again, it’s completely free!
